Vicky Wilkens joined The Weather Channel in November 2012 where she leads television marketing efforts supporting both long-form and live programming, building awareness and strengthening the brand. 

Wilkens joins TWC from Mizuno USA, where she was the running brand manager, overseeing marketing strategy and integrated, creative development for the running division. In addition to running brand management, Wilkens led a brand positioning restructure, resulting in newly adopted brand guidelines for Mizuno Global used across six continents. 

Prior to that, Wilkens worked as brand manager at Active Network in San Diego, CA where she led the brand building and consumer marketing strategy for Active Network corporate and Active Network’s consumer-facing brand, Active.com.

Wilkens began her career in television at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. where she managed the strategic and creative, promotional development for professional sports properties including the NBA, PGA, MLB, NASCAR and College Football on TNT and TBS networks. While at Turner Sports, Wilkens managed both on and off-air promotional and creative development, along with target consumer insights and segmentation, strategy development and promotional and creative implementation.

Wilkens received bachelor’s degrees in both English and Communication Studies from the University of Michigan where she was a four year NCAA Women’s Soccer player.
