Dan advises retailers, financial institutions and consumer packaged goods companies on the creation of emerging digital experiences. Concepts have included: designing seamless engagements between physical locations and digital experiences, determining what the right contextually relevant content is and how it should be rendered on various touch-points, creating innovative ways to integrate a brand into the lifestyle of the customer, developing mobile wallet experiences and everything in between.

 

Dan is a steadfast source of thought leadership on digital experiences for leading publications such as MediaPost, Mobile Marketer, ClickZ and eMarketer, among others, and at major industry conferences, including OMMA Global, MediaPost’s Mobile Insider Summit, Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association and MforMobile.

 

Prior to joining SapientNitro, Dan led consumer mobile strategy at The Home Depot, where he launched the iPhone, Android, Windows Phone 7 apps and led the update of the mobile website. Forrester Research referenced the app as “one example of a company that has well matched its mobile services to this (home goods) category.” And David Strasser from Janney, an investment house focused on retail, described it as one of the best in terms of functionality.

 

Dan spent nine years at BellSouth, Cingular and AT&T Mobility, where he concentrated on broadband and mobile applications for the consumer and business segments. Dan also has start-up experience from his days as a co-founder of Incanta. The turnkey broadband applications company has raised $22M over three funding rounds.

 

Dan has a BA from Emory University, an MSc from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He has lived abroad three times in his life: Tehran, Iran from 1975-1976; London, England from 1990-1991; and Kagoshima, Japan from 1992-1993.
