Hear from four Global community managers who have seen it all, and learn their best advice on how to really become a rock star - by driving results. This panel discussion will hit on some of the key day-to-day challenges a Global community manager faces, like how to works across functions, the nuances of regional vs. global activity and how to leverage their relationships with other community managers to improve the way they work.

Nick Ayres:

  • Bio: Nick Ayres leads the global social marketing team for IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), a global organization with a broad portfolio of nine hotel brands and the world’s first and largest hotel loyalty program.

    Immediately prior to IHG, Nick spent nearly five years with The Home Depot helping architect the company’s approach to social marketing as well as serving across several other functions including eCommerce, interactive marketing, brand management and new product development.

Alissa Clauson:


  • Title: Community Manager, Extended Stay Brands

  • Company: InterContinental Hotels Group

  • Bio: A native of Seattle, WA, Alissa has worked in digital and traditional marketing on both the agency side and the client side. She has a marketing degree from the University of Washington and Alissa’s experience in the agency world gives her a unique perspective on approaching and managing social media for a global company. In her free time, Alissa enjoys taking her 2 dogs to the beach!


 

Bryce Kervin:


  • Title: Holiday Inn Express Community Manager

  • Bio: Bryce is one of the many Atlanta transplants that calls the Peachtree city home. He enjoys traveling, music, and photography. New places and new people always excite him and he loves getting taken out of his comfort zone in a foreign country. He loves all things digital and believes the internet can enable meaningful communication.


 

Carolyn Reed


  • Title: Community Manager, IHG Rewards Club

  • Company: InterContinental Hotels Group

  • Bio: Carolyn is the global social marketing community manager for IHG’s loyalty program, IHG Rewards Club. She has spent the past six years learning the digital business at IHG. Starting out in web and merchandising, moving into email and communications, and now as a part of IHG’s social marketing team.
