I will speak about the evolving Customer Lifecycle model, in a Social Media world. Many of our clients (some of the biggest firms in the world) still use the traditional model of Awareness->Selection->Trial->Adoption->Repeat. However, the advent of Social Media has made this model ineffective and in dire need of overhaul, as the boundaries between stages are blurred or even removed.

Edelman is leading an approach to Consumer Engagement that addresses this evolving consumption model, and adapts Social Media best practices to this new Customer Lifetime Value approach.

I propose to speak about the new model, common pitfalls in marketing to consumers, and ways to adjust Marketing Tactics and Campaigns to better serve the new model.
