Vert and The Weather Channel partnered up in the Spring of 2013 with the goal of creating buzz around the upcoming Tornado Week programming schedule. In a few short of weeks, both teams put together one of the most engaging and buzz worthy social media campaigns of the year. Within 5 hours of launching the campaign had achieved over 10,000 mentions and coverage from the likes of Mashable, BuzzFeed, and The Huffington Post. This is a behind-the-scenes account of the team, strategies, technology, execution and success of the #TornadoWeek livestream stunt. Get ready to be blown away.
